I’m guest posting at From the Guest Room today about the journey of publishing my book!
Check it out HERE.
Also, been thinking a lot about the KONY 2012 thing and here are a few links. I won’t comment to much right now, but have a read and see what you think.
Some of my thoughts:
As we gain this new awareness about KONY 2012, our action steps should be first to pray and fast (if we’re really serious about seeing a lasting change) and then to ask God what action we should take…giving money? writing letters to politicians? etc.
We are called to be spiritual abolitionists! We follow the one who has come to set the captives free, spiritually and physically. This is why prayer is of utmost importance.
“To open eyes that are blind,
to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.” – Isaiah 42:7
But we as believers in Christ are also called to act justly.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” -Micah 6:8
If our action is not motivated by love for God first and love for our neighbor, will it have any eternal value? I’m not saying don’t act, I’m just saying to so prayerfully.
